Emerald Research Connections is a free-to-all and easy-to-use online meeting place for the academic and corporate research communities, allowing researchers to present their own work and interests, and find others to participate in future projects or simply share ideas.
Since its inception in 2005, researchers have been creating their profiles every day. The user-friendly search and browse options allow you find like-minded professionals in your areas of interest in just a few clicks. Emerald Research Connections gives you the opportunity to:
- Find researchers in your field for discussion or collaboration. Use the Emerald Research Connections service to create your own research profile and view the profiles of others to meet like-minded professionals and find collaborative partners.
- Showcase your work. By joining you will raise your profile and aid dissemination of your research project(s). Let us know about research undertaken via Emerald Research Connections and we will publish the details on our website. Your research will also be highlighted to the Editors of 200 Emerald journals.

- There are no passwords or log-in details to remember.
- You do not have to be an Emerald subscriber to have full access.
- You do not need to create your own profile to be able to view the profiles of, and contact, other researchers.
- The search and browse functionality allows to find exactly who you are looking for in only a couple of clicks. You can also reorder the results of your searches, e.g. by Country, Subject area, Institution, Research level/type or Date joined.

- It only takes two to three minutes to create your profile.
- You can add links to your personal/research webpage as well to that of your institution or company.
- Your e-mail address is never visible on our site so you cannot be “spammed” as a result of creating your profile.
- Once initial contact with a researcher has been made via Emerald Research Connections, all subsequent communication is person-to-person. You do not have to continue to use Emerald Research Connections as your means of communication.
- We will publish details of research undertaken via Emerald Research Connections on our website and highlight it to Editors of relevant Emerald journals.
