This year there were nine subject categories, sponsored by a selection of Emerald’s journals. The awards were open to those who had completed examination requirements for a Doctoral Award between 1st June 2005 and 1st October 2007. As the quality of submissions was exceptionally high this year, the judges have had the very difficult task of scrutinising the applications in order to decide upon whom should be given a prestigious award. One overall winner has been selected from each subject category, and a number of Highly Commended and Special Commendations have been bestowed. The overall winners will receive a cash prize of 1,500 Euros (or currency equivalent), a certificate and an offer of publication in the sponsoring journal, either as a full paper, or an executive summary at the Editor’s discretion. All Highly Commended and Special Commendation winners will receive certificates.
Both Emerald and the EFMD are exceedingly proud to support and reward such high quality research through the awards. We wish the winners, and indeed all the applicants, success in their future academic careers. Further updates including publication details, will appear here as information becomes available.
