Testimonials

"I am delighted and honored that my proposal with Mr. Eddy K. Tukamushaba of Makerere University Business School, Kampala, Uganda, was selected as the winner of the 2008 Emerald/ALCS Public Sector Management in Africa Research Fund Award. The collaborative and cross-country nature of our research demonstrates the importance of investigating public sector management issues in Africa in a holistic manner. This award has not only encouraged me but also reinforced my belief that conducting high quality research that is focused on Africa is highly recognized by internationally acclaimed and prestigious publishers such as Emerald Group Publishing Limited. It is my hope that this award will encourage young researchers with an interest in Africa to pursue their dream and undertake valuable research that will help in the social and economic development of Africa. I am grateful to Emerald/ALCS for supporting and encouraging research into public sector management in Africa. I also want to express my appreciation to the Dean of the Joseph M. Bryan school of Business and Economics, Dr. James K. Weeks, for supporting my research on strategic and international management in emerging economies with a special focus on Africa."
