Editor James Kirkbride chairs International Symposium on Company Law and Corporate Governance Developments, Shanghai
Professor James Kirkbride, editor of IJLMA, organised and chaired an International Symposium on Company Law and Corporate Governance Developments at Shanghai University on 13 November. The Symposium attracted over 70 academics from the Shanghai and Peking Universities with 11 papers presented on topics including comparative minority protection; emerging theories of the firm; comparative controls on CEO’s; evaluating anti-cartel laws in China; and non-convergence of corporate governance controls. The Symposium was supported by Emerald and papers form the Symposium will be selected for inclusion in a special issue of the International Journal of Law and Management in Spring 2009
