**JEIT presents Outstanding Paper Awards at the HRD Conference, Newcastle**

Whilst attending the 10th International Conference on Human Resource Development Research and Practice across Europe, Publisher Nancy Rolph and Editor Tom Garavan recently presented the Emerald Outstanding Paper Award to Robert G. Hamlin, who accepted on behalf of his co-authors Andrea D. Ellinger and Rona S. Beattie, for their paper “Behavioural indicators of ineffective managerial coaching: A cross-national study”, published in volume 32 number 4, 2008 of the Journal of European Industrial Training.

They also presented a Highly Commended Paper Award to David Simmonds, who accepted on behalf of himself and his co-author Rebecca Gibson, for their paper “A model for outsourcing HRD”, published in volume 32 number 1, 2008 of the Journal of European Industrial Training.
