This Special Issue of the Social Enterprise Journal focuses on the issues surrounding social enterprise governance.
Amidst a climate of global economic insecurity, social enterprises have many opportunities to engage with communities and defined stakeholder groups, as well as numerous challenges and complications caused by the financial meltdown. The groundswell of interest and support for social enterprises is also global in its breadth, and academics and practitioners are encouraged to engage in research and social enterprise development. The social enterprise board will play a pivotal role in managing the organisation during these difficult times, so it is timely that this Special Issue invites the submission of papers in, but not limited by, the following suggested areas:
Both theoretical and empirical papers are welcome. Submissions are to be no longer than 5,000 words in length, and will be double-blind peer reviewed.
All papers must conform to the journal requirements, details of the author guidelines can be found on the Emerald website. http://www.emeraldinsight.com/sej.htm
