Editorial Objectives
The 21st century is already being labelled the “Asia-Pacific century”. The Asia Pacific includes China, India, the “tiger economies” of the ASEAN region, as well as the Latin American economies, such that it is a mix of stunning growth and prosperity on the one hand, as well as under-development and poverty on the other. It is, therefore, a region rich in research possibilities, local and regional, unitary and comparative.
Launched in 2009, the Asia-Pacific Journal of Business Administration seeks to become a forum for both established scholars and early career researchers in all aspects of business administration in the Asia-Pacific. The APJBA also welcomes practitioner involvement with submissions that stimulate engagement between academics and practitioners interested in research in the area of business administration. This journal will also feature non-research materials, such as literature reviews and interviews with key figures.

- The APJBA provides an opportunity for early career academics to work with an editorial team that acts in a mentoring role, enhancing the quality of published work.
Unique Attributes
- The APJBA is the first journal to focus on business administration in the Asia Pacific arena. While articles with other geographical orientations will be submitted, it is first and foremost orientated to the region with the greatest growth and economic activity in the 21st century.
- The fact that this journal is not methodologically exclusive enables it to attract a rich range of contributions which impact on the Asia Pacific region.
- The APJBA aims to foster the engagement of early career academics in their scholarly endeavours.
Key Journal Audiences
- Scholars at all levels of qualification and experience, interested in issues explored in graduate business programs about the Asia Pacific region.
- Early career researchers and established researchers seeking genuine scholarly engagement, instead of, or at least as well as, the ‘publishing for other purposes’ objectives (i.e. tenure, promotion, etc).
