Editorial objectives

The journal aims to provide an international forum for the publication of high quality research in: finance, financial management, international finance, economics, banking, financial markets, financial institutions, financial strategy, accounting and management information.

Managerial Finance aims to answer the questions that are central to the operations of today's industries and their financial management. In so doing, MF seeks to address such questions as:

• Why are financial aspects so important?
• What should firms do about new investment, mergers and dividends?
• Why are share prices important?
• How much should firms borrow?
• Why are cash flows and risk so important?

Editorial criteria

A new editorial team is currently being put in place and once this is finalised an updated set of criteria will be posted here.

Coverage

Each publication in 2007 and 2008 will be a special issue, with a guest editor, dealing with a particular topic relating to those found in the journal's overall objective. Subjects to be dealt with in 2007 include:

• European Financial Markets
• Managing Risks with Derivatives
• Exchange Rate Exposure and its Determinants
• Initial Public Offerings
• Payout Policy
