Editorial objectives

The Journal of Health Organization and Management supports the development and dissemination of knowledge within health organization and management. It prioritises critical exploration, and is dedicated to analyses from a diverse range of theoretical and applied perspectives. Multi-disciplinary in scope, the Journal is a forum where innovative analyses feature strongly.

Editorial criteria

Research papers based on empirical and/or theoretical perspectives are actively encouraged, along with shorter 'work-in-progress' pieces. In addition to papers which take the more traditional approach to health organization and management, the journal particularly invites contributions which explore debates within gender studies, critical management studies, ethics, post-modernism, critical realism and other areas which question the established paradigms.

The journal seeks not only contributions that are complete in their conception, analysis and delivery, but also contributions from academics, students and practitioners who wish to test their ideas as they are in the process of development. Empirical and theoretical work which draws upon a wide range of disciplines and perspectives is sought.

Coverage
