Journal call for papers from International Journal of Energy Sector Management
The International Journal of Energy Sector Management is a peer-reviewed, inter-disciplinary international platform for disseminating results of research related to and/or relevant for the management of the energy sector. The journal aims to focus on holistic, applied research on energy sector management and to disseminate practical solutions of difficult decision-making problems by providing a common forum for wider interaction, information sharing and publication of relevant applied research, thereby trying to bridge the gap between industry and academia.
The journal aims to cover a wide range of subjects having relevance to the energy sector management, including but not limited to:
-
management of scarce resources (economic, financial, human, and natural),
-
management of projects, technologies and knowledge related to the energy sector;
-
analysis of issues and concerns of the sector (e.g. regulatory, social and environmental aspects);
-
study of business strategy, policy and planning as well as decision support systems for energy sector management;
-
study of business organisation, structure and environment, and changes there to;
-
study of globalisation, multi-cultural management; and
-
management of innovation, change and transition.
The journal encourages applied, practical-oriented, problem-solving research having wider relevance. Formalisation per se is not the objective but could be used as a support. Preference would be given to problems with wider relevance across geographical regions. The journal will try to strike a balance in content in terms of regional coverage, sub-sector focus and issues considered. Normally the journal will not consider factory-level analysis with no wider application or implication and purely technical or theoretical developments without demonstrated application in energy sector management.
The journal was launched in 2007 and is seeking contributions in terms of full papers, short notes, case studies, industry insights, and papers from doctoral theses for publication in the journal. Please refer to the Journal Information and Author Guidelines for additional information on the scope of the journal, manuscript preparation and paper review process.
