Papers are now being sought for inclusion in the journal. Education + Training focuses on the complex relationship between education and training, addresses vocationalism in learning and highlights the changing nature of the partnership between the worlds of work and education. The journal gives specific consideration to the role of young people in the labour market, looking at how the transition from school/college to employment unfolds.
Articles on a wide range of topics within the themes identified above are welcome. The following list is intended to be illustrative, not prescriptive:
The editor is happy to receive queries or submissions to the journal email address at e&t@emeraldinsight.com. As a guide articles should be between 3,000 and 6,000 words in length. It is the journal's intention to strike a sound balance between theory and practice. Research, critical reflection on practice, policy development and case study papers are all welcome. The editor would be particularly interested to receive articles/case studies which reflect collaborative activities and initiatives and which are co-authored by an academic and a professional practitioner. The journal is also particularly keen to encourage reflections from practitioners on their practice in any of the areas identified above.
