Call for Papers - Qualitative Research in Financial Markets
Edited by: Dr Bruce Burton, School of Accounting & Finance, University of Dundee, UK
We are currently seeking papers for an exciting new journal, to be launched by Emerald in 2009. Qualitative Research in Financial Markets provides an international, peer-reviewed forum to explore the burgeoning research activity in finance that uses qualitative methods. Building on a long pedigree of finance research, the journal will publish innovative analyses and novel insights that explore the operations of financial markets worldwide. In addition to peer-reviewed articles, the journal publishes in-depth case studies with real relevance to practice, along with extended book reviews. The Editor also explicitly encourages submission of methodological studies regarding the use of qualitative methods in finance research.
Coverage is international, and empirical studies making use of interview, case study and survey methods to investigate the following (non-exhaustive) list of topics are welcomed:
Each paper is reviewed by the editor and, if it is judged suitable for this publication, it is then sent to two referees for double blind peer review. Based on their recommendations, the editor then decides whether the paper should be accepted as it is, revised or rejected.
Submissions should be sent by email to the Editor:
