The International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management aims to address new developments and thinking in productivity science and performance measurement and management including new techniques, approaches and related reflective analysis designed to improve individual, group and organisational performance.

Our aim for this special edition is to provide a coherent collection of papers that provide significant new insights into how organisations in both the public and private sectors are seeking to leverage their performance via the management of their human resources.

Specific topics for inclusion might include:

Articles can address these and other HR related topics either theoretically or empirically, employing either a descriptive or critical approach in order to further the knowledge base for both academics and practitioners.
