Special issue call for papers from Journal of Property Investment & Finance

The Journal of Property Investment & Finance announces a call for papers for a special issue devoted to salient issues related to the role of financial reporting and accountancy in real estate. Suggested areas are: 
  • Proposed changes in accounting for operating leases
  • Valuation and accountancy
  • Accounting for onerous leases
  • Accountancy and Corporate Real Estate Strategies
  • Appropriate discount rates for use in measuring real estate decisions
  • Real Estate and its impact on the P&L, balance sheet and shareholder value
  • Benchmarking
  • International Accounting Practice
  • Measuring corporate real estate performance
This list is not exhaustive and interested authors are encouraged to contact the editors with alternative proposals. Please kindly take note of the following requirements if you wish to have your paper considered for this Special Issue: 
  • The content of the paper must conform to the terms of reference of the Journal of Property Investment and Finance
  • All papers submitted will be subject to the normal double blind refereeing process undertaken by the journal
  • Submitted papers must not be under review by any other journal. 
Papers should have a strong focus on commercial property. Articles must be analytic and rigorous, not merely descriptive. 
The closing date for submissions is: 31st Jan 2010.
