‘Sex, drugs, and rock n roll’, the theme of this issue, can be seen as a metaphor for the fundamental parts of our lives in which we engage in private and social action and decision-making. This special issue will explore how the Internet has dramatically changed the way we engage in these activities. We believe that increased information access and the ability to easily connect with like-minded people now presents us with new and varied options when it comes to managing and living our lives. Meanwhile, companies are using the Internet to market and sell sex, drugs and music, even as governments try and regulate them.
Descriptive, evaluative and empirical papers that look at the role of the Internet in providing online information on matters of sex, drugs (legal and illegal) and music. Studies regarding the online procurement of sex, drugs and music are also sought. Possible areas include, but are not limited to:
Drugs, medicine and healing
Music
Sex and love
