1st International seminar on urban investments

December 3, 2009, Bratislava, Slovakia

The seminar is being hosted by the Institute of Management of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. This seminar is organized one day before the forthcoming ERES Education Seminar in Vienna, which will be held from 4 to 5 December 2009.

The cities are the driving force of European economic growth and innovation. Thus the quality of urban areas, their location, and infrastructure have a strong impact on the competitiveness of the cities and their prosperity. The urban investments are therefore the important prerequisites for the successful city development.

12th International FM and REM Congress, 27-29 January, 2010.

The International FM&REM-Conference will take place for the 12th time in Kufstein. With this congress the studies of Facility & Real Estate Management offer a platform for the economy, the scientific community and students of the Facility Management & Real Estate branche as well as the energy branch. From 27 to 29 January 2010 the congress main topic is “Opportunities for Sustainability”.

CIB: International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction

CIB was established in 1953 as an Association whose objectives were to stimulate and facilitate international cooperation and information exchange between governmental research institutes in the building and construction sector, with an emphasis on those institutes engaged in technical fields of research.

CIB has since developed into a world wide network of over 5000 experts from about 500 member organisations with a research, university, industry or government background, who collectively are active in all aspects of research and innovation for building and construction.
