International Journal of Event and Festival Management:
The journal seeks to advance knowledge in the field of events and to enhance the uptake of such knowledge by practitioners in the field. Whilst publishing theoretical and practical articles, articles will include a section on how the findings can be adopted by practitioners in the field. The journal will cover events in its broadest sense ranging from small festivals to mega events such as the Olympics and include business events (MICE) as well as special events. As the field of events is not a discipline in its own right, articles will be sourced from all disciplines and it is therefore adopting a multi-disciplinary approach.
The editor, Professor Lea Jago, actively encourages submissions to the journal: Author guidelines
  • Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology:
Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology (JHTT) serves as a scholastic platform in the fields of Hospitality Information Technology and E-Business. It seeks to serve as a bridge between academia and industry through intellectual exchange of ideas, trends and paradigmatic changes underway in the two important and related domains that it addresses.
The editor, Dr Cihan Cobanoglu, actively encourages submissions to the journal: Author guidelines

Collection highlights

  • Consumer behavior in tourism destinations special issue published in the International Journal of Culture, Tourism and Hospitality Research (volume 3, issue 2):
This special issue publishes six contributions that are particularly relevant for understanding and managing the content of the interaction between the network nodes, in particular business-to-consumer relationships.
  • Destination management: thinking laterally special issue published in Tourism Review (volume 63, issue 2):
The reason for identifying the theme of “Destination management: thinking laterally” refers to the fact that, in today’s growing competitive environment, tourism destinations rather than individual attractions have become central to the management and marketing of national tourism assets. This highlights the importance of destination management and marketing. Its role is to direct tourism supply and ensure that operators treat the needs of visitors as complex streams of expectations which are directed at the destination’s heterogeneous offerings (see Gnoth, 1997). It is our hope therefore that papers accommodated in this special issue may help marketing and management in reflecting on their strategies of segmenting, targeting and positioning as well as in process and product development.
